## What we do

We profile retreat centers around the world: places to practice yoga or meditation, recover and reset, learn to surf, or train as a yoga teacher. Each profile explains what the center is like, who it suits, and how to get there, and links to its official website.

## How we pick

We start from centers we've covered since 2012, check that each is still open, and add the places that leading travel publications have recommended in 2025 and 2026. When a magazine has recommended a center, its profile says so under "As recommended in" and links to the original article, so you can read it yourself. ## Who we are

Retreat Vacations is part of the CRJ Network, a small group of independent travel guides. One of the network's owners also owns Anamaya Resort in Montezuma, Costa Rica. Where Anamaya appears on this site, we say so on its profile.
