## What it's like

Naman Retreat sits on the beach along Truong Sa Street in Da Nang's Ngu Hanh Son district, on the stretch of coast between the city and the old town of Hoi An. The first thing most people notice is the bamboo. The resort's bar, Sitini, sits under a curved bamboo dome, the Vietnamese restaurant Hay Hay is built in a traditional bamboo style, and the villas mix bamboo and stone with clean modern lines. The World Spa Awards named it Vietnam's Best Wellness Retreat in 2025.

There are three main styles of stay. Private pool villas have their own courtyard and swimming pool. The Bliss Sunlit Suites are bright and minimal, ranging from one to three bedrooms, with views toward the sea and mountains. Babylon Serenity rooms are modern and set around hanging gardens, and suit couples or families.

It's a full resort rather than a quiet ashram, with several restaurants and bars, so wellness here sits comfortably alongside a regular beach holiday.

## The programs

The spa, called Pure Spa, sits in the middle of the resort and is built in an open, wall-less style. It has 15 treatment rooms, plus jacuzzi baths, sauna and steam rooms, a fitness room and yoga rooms. Treatments include Vietnamese-style massages, shiatsu-style massage, hot stone and bamboo therapy, seaweed body wraps and oxygen facials, with longer signature rituals of two to three hours, including one designed for couples.

If you'd like a little more structure, Naman offers short packages:

- **De-stress Program.** Two days and one night focused on unwinding.
- **Wellness Yoga Retreat.** Three days and two nights built around yoga.
- **Wellness Journey.** Four days and three nights combining massage, yoga, meditation, detox treatments including colon hydrotherapy, healthy meals and a trip to Hoi An's ancient town.
- **Group retreats.** Private wellness retreats can be arranged for groups.

Daily yoga and meditation classes are open to guests, and there are cultural activities too, such as lantern making, gardening, pottery and basket-boat fishing.

## Food

There's plenty of choice. Hay Hay serves Vietnamese dishes all day, Cococita does Latin American and Mexican food, B Lounge has tapas, wood-fired pizza and cocktails, Sitini Bar is the spot for sunset drinks, and the Cofftee Club handles coffee and afternoon tea.

## Who it suits (and who it doesn't)

Naman is a good match for couples and families who want a beach stay with daily yoga, a strong spa and the option of a short wellness package. It's also an easy entry point if you've never done a retreat before.

If you're after a strict detox, silence or a fully alcohol-free setting, it may feel too much like a resort. Serious long-stay programs are better found at dedicated retreat centers.

## Getting there

Fly into Da Nang International Airport, which has domestic connections across Vietnam and international flights around Asia. The resort is on the coast road south of central Da Nang, and Hoi An's old town is an easy day trip.
